My name is Ronaldo Lotenzo, from Brazil. I stayed at Apsar's house for a month and was very well received by her and her family. I had the opportunity to spend time with volunteers like me from different countries, such as France, Mexico and England. The food was excellent, and she tries to meet our taste buds. It was a very pleasant house with a very comfortable space. I had the opportunity to visit and visit several Buddhist and Hindu monasteries, a rice planting festival (very fun) and the nature of the region, such as the forest and mountains that surround the Kathmandu Valley and also a wonderful waterfall. I am a sports teacher, so I taught soccer, volleyball and capoeira at both the orphanage and the Buddhist monastery, where I also had the opportunity to experience Buddhist religious life, which is one of my goals for coming to Nepal. I was surprised by the culture preserved in Kathmandu, such as the safety of walking down the street without fear of being mugged, which is very common in Brazil. And the traffic on the streets is an adventure for us Westerners. I wish happiness to the Apsara Family and gratitude for welcoming me into your home.
